The Age - Green Guide   ...by Jason Hill

Strolling around the annual Australian Toy and Hobby Fair at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre last week, I was struck by how trends in the video game industry are influencing the toy market...

Sunday Telegraph - Career One   ...by Elias Jahshan

Stephen Goldsworthy, 46, Managing Director of Goldie Marketing.

“After Being made redundant from Toys ‘R’ Us after nine years, I decided to start my own toy company in the garage of my Sydney home in 2002.

My first product was library bags for primary school children... and sales revenue exceeded $1 million after the first year. I went on to design and develop a number of ranges of toys, initially for the Australian market but with a view to rolling them out worldwide.

Having never really grown up, I’ve always be fascinated by toys. I’ve worked in the toy industries since 1979, when I got my first job in the toy department of Myer in Melbourne. I also loved working at Toys ‘R’ Us, where I was National Store Planning Manager - a role that took me on many adventures around the world.”
